Wilson Insurance Brokers, part of the Dickson Insurance Group, is one of the largest insurance brokers in Northern Ireland with 17 offices collaborating a team of 150 colleagues. We provide our clients with solutions to all their insurance needs, ranging from home and motor insurance, to complex commercial business packages.

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a dynamic sales team, servicing and maintaining the

commercial book of business. The role entails working closely with the managing director and the commercial account executives to effectively manage the after sales process. The role will be based from our Lisnaskea office with facility to work remotely on a hybrid basis after initial training period.

Main Tasks

  • Proactively supporting a commercial account executive in servicing an existing portfolio of business
  • Complete market search for all policy renewals in conjunction with the commercial team
  • Work closely with Commercial Account Executives to under your responsibilities for servicing clients and pursuing new business are clearly agreed, understood, and fairly shared.
  • Develop close working relationships with the Wilson Insurance Brokers panel of insurers to ensure that they negotiate the best covers for clients.
  • Achieve or over-achieve against quarterly and annual New Business, Renewal, and where specified cross-sell and up-sell targets.
  • Support our colleagues in accounts by ensuring the timely collection of outstanding premiums, and achievement of aged debt targets.
  • Keep client files and system records in good order and up to date in accordance with company procedures and ensure that clear and legible records are kept in respect of all client discussions. Oversee the completion of administrative duties such as the issue of policy documentation, the follow-up of correspondence, and the diary of actions, to ensure that clients are adequately supported.
  • Ensuring that relevant FCA regulations regarding client management are adhered to, including complaints management, the issue of policy documentation, and disclosure to insurers.
  • Maintain an excellent team work ethic.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Commercial experience is preferable though not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Open GI experience preferrable though not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Preferable Minimum 1 years’ experience in a commercial insurance role as a broker or in an insurance company (Fleets, Liability, Property, Farm, Motor Trade, Retail, PI, Cyber)
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment with a high level of

energy.

  • An aptitude for selling and being flexible to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills with an understanding how best to negotiate between price and risk.
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to adapt to and embrace change.
  • Attention to detail. Motivated, self-starter who will work on their own initiative and

appreciate the regulatory nature of the business.

  • An enthusiastic and flexible approach, along with demonstrated attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to unforeseen events.
  • A good degree of personal organisation and a structured approach to time and resource

management. Strong IT (Office, Outlook, Work, Excel etc) and organisational skills.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development. Quick learning capabilities and an

aptitude for understanding the variable elements of insurance products.

  • Full, clean driving licence and access to car
